Waver (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our voice-to-text application.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and a securely hashed password.

Audio Recordings: Audio recordings are processed in real-time for transcription. Recordings may be stored on our servers if you choose to save them for playback.

Notes & Content: Your transcribed and rewritten notes are stored securely on our servers to enable sync across devices.

Usage Data: We collect basic usage analytics such as feature usage, session duration, and error reports to improve the app.

Location Data: If you grant permission, we use your GPS location solely to determine applicable tax rates during checkout.

We use your information exclusively to:

• Provide voice-to-text transcription and AI rewriting services
• Store and sync your notes across devices
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Calculate applicable taxes based on your location
• Send important account notifications
• Improve and maintain our services

Your audio is processed using third-party AI services (Groq Whisper for transcription, Google Gemini for rewriting). These services process your data solely for providing the requested functionality.

Your data is never used to train AI models.

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:

• Payment processing through Lemon Squeezy (for subscription management)
• AI service providers (for transcription and text processing only)
• When required by law or legal process

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Export your notes at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data permanently
• Opt out of non-essential communications

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data (notes, recordings, settings, and personal information) is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Waver is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
